I was watching that auction with great interest ! I am glad that you won it . In my humble opinion , those long bladed 184's are the TOP Buckmaster to find for a collector .
I think that the ONLY one better would be a prototype .
Here is the list of long bladed 184's that came out of the Buck Custom shop :
9" blade ... 3 made
9 1/2" blade ... 2 made
10" blade ... 2 made
11 1/2" blade ... 1 made
Only 3 of them and you have one now !!! But now you have to find the other 3 sizes !

Leroy R. Remer
of BUCK Custom Shop ... which closed in '93
Leroy seldom stamped his initials in a knife ! This is only the second that i have seen.
Per conversation with him,
he used L.R.R for only 4 knives outside of BUCK ...
I shall bet that if he saw this knife, he would recognize it.
